User comment on PRODISC DVD+R 16x needed

Has anybody try PRODISC 04 DVD+R 16x and Traxdata DVD+R 16x??? Please give me some comment on the burning reliability before I buy. with 16x speed burning , will this increase in error rates?

The higher the speed is, the higher the error rates, so if you want quality burns then you have to burn at lower speeds (than the supported ones…). But this is my opinion. If you check the DVD media tests or search the forums you will find people happy with their 4X compatible disks burnt at 8X or similar. So don’t worry too much. Anyway I think 16x is too much. I would not burn any disk at higher speeds than 8X…

Yo-

Had some real issues (coasters) with Prodisc 8x +R’s in my 2500, 2510 and both my 3500’s-

In contrast - I have had great results with the Taiyo Yuden 8x +R’s in all of these burners-

The old addage “You Get What You Pay For” is very true in this case-

Most reasonable places to get them from are www.rima.com and www.supermediastore.com
