That will depend on where your locations is at will determine what VPN are free for you to use there.

I haven’t heard of any free VPN’s that are widely recommended. There are any number of commercial VPN’s that aren’t too expensive.

If you absolutely need a VPN, you really should expect to pay for the service. Look through this article for the names and locations of some: http://torrentfreak.com/anonymous-vpn-service-provider-review-2015-150228/

so if i choose to buy one , does my location have anything to do with the one i choose to buy, for example can i buy TorGuard , if i am in australia.

Your location is not that important, other than being able to use one of the payment options offered by the VPN provider.

can i ask if u use one if so what one do u recommend personally.

No, I don’t use one. I’ve followed the VPN privacy stories at Torrentfreak over the last three years though, and would use those as a start in research, if I ever had the need for one.

ok thanks,

just need a bit of advice about them now, i dont know all those terms they use like ssl PTP, L2TP, OpenVPN and SSTP, etc… this could make thing confusing for me.

I have TorGuard and can highly recommend it. Not only is it “always available”, it is (to me anyway) sort of a mysterious technology and they’ve been very responsive whether via Chat or online Ticket submittal to help me to understand it and get/keep it working.

IIRC I bought it when they were offering a lifetime discount…

ok thanks guys , will look at all the info and try one after i read there terms.

can u run a speed test without the vpn on , and then with it on , so i can see an what the actual speed difference is when using it .

For me unless your doing some access requiring security VPN is worth while to go that route but for everyday access your not important enough for “Crackers” to go after you. And some site you log onto already do https to secure it mostly. I seen users use VPN to torrent movies mostly and some for work related.
