Upgrade ddw-813 ?!

Hi guys ! where is the file section ? can’t find one anywhere !?
Looking for apps to upgrade my DDW-813S (or LVW-5026) and also the firmware files. Being going round in circles for hours !!! HELP !! Stu

Search this forum for “lvw-5026 firmware” should find firmware for your recorder.

That didn’t help. :frowning: It’s all for 5026, I want it for DDW-811s. Want to try n upgrade the drive, otherwise it’s a replacement drive from another recorder. Tried the replace with a PC recorder idea, not impressed, messy at best. Stu

that should have been DDW-813s, of course

Your original post said “DDW-813S (or LVW-5026).” According to http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/help-bad-flash-ddw-813s-drive-137405/ the DDW-813S is found in standalone recorders only and most likely doesn’t have a separate update since its update should be included in the recorder firmware updates. Probably your best bet for burner update is a burner replacement like some in that thread link and others have done.

Ya! you can download B20N or B20P here:

that just screwed my drive !! now I have no drive to upgrade :frowning: my PC won’t even boot with this drive connected ! 2 steps backwards, I think.

try this—

thanks for that  I think I finally got there, phew !! I can now read +Rs again, as well as -Rs. No need for a new, untidy drive, just needed to upgrade the old one  It may have been the media speed that was causing the problem, may never know  The normal flash utility did NOT like the B20P version at all ! but was ok with the N ver… Mtkflash seems to work with all. Had to boot with drive disconnected, then connect drive when at A: prompt, before running Mktflash. It seems happy to run, even if the drive isn’t listed in the bios list. Stu
