I had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall windows recently. Prior to doing this I saved the entirety of My Documents folder to a Data DVD, using Nero Burning ROM and my NEC DVD RW ND-1300A. This disc, came out just fine, and with room to spare. I confirmed the data on my computer prior to the wipe, and on my wife's computer as well.
I successfully reloaded Windows XP Pro, and all the drivers, and attempted to view the documents, pictures and folders on this Data DVD. I put it in my drive and it seems that there is nothing there, claiming the Used space is 0 bytes and the Free space is 0 bytes, more the drive goes from being called "DVD-RW Drive (D:)" to being called "CD-ROM Drive (D:)". Again, the data on the disc appears perfectly on my wife's computer.
The drive will play movie DVDs properly, and it can read Data CD-ROMs just fine, it is only Data DVDs that give it trouble.
Could anyone help me figure out why this disc can't be read correctly on my PC?
