here’s my results @ 8X on a 107d with nils 1.13 firmware.

Working on results with nec 2500, with herries b5. they will only burn at 4X with this firmware.

Looks good! Any chance you can do a PI/PO scan on another drive?

Not bad…still early to tell, but maybe I was wrong about predicting it as the “black sheep” of Japanese media…See how others burn…and how the NEC likes it…

How about locking the 166 to 4X scan speed with CDBremse and performing a Kprobe scan? :smiley:

wesociety I canot lock my 166S I have tried and it ignores it. I am using TDB’s 14x firmware hack though. Could that be the problem? It reads at full speed no matter what I do.

I’ve heard reports that CDBremse doesn’t always work for everyone. :frowning:
