Unable to partion the hard drive

Hi , I have compaq presario CQ50,107AU Notebook. I formatted VISTA and installed xp pro SP3 successfully. Here i have a small problem which is C drive occupies 70GB space. I want to partion the C drive and to keep the C drive with 15 GB only. and i want to create a new drive with remaining 55 GB space. Can any body help me please ?

You can use the Vista DVD to shrink the partition. As I remember you need to boot from DVD and when you get to the screen with Drive options press SHIFT+F10 to get to command prompt and type DISKPART to start disk partitioning . There is a option to shirnk the partition there.
