Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Is the media I am using garbage? These are HP DVD+R 16x That I am using. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to CDF

Actually, I think that drive’s a rebadged Pioneer DVR-106, a 4x DVD-/+R burner (although someone might correct me on that one). If that’s the case, it’ll be burning those CMC MAG. M01 discs with a default strategy (4x) - if you’re lucky, a burn will complete.

Also, your version of Nero 7 could use an update to the latest version.

Might be new burner time though unless you can get some media that matches your burner speed.

#3

might wanna get that DMA fixed on your seagate hd , have a look at the DMA enabling guide http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616

#4

Nope, its displayed as DMA off because its using nvidia ide drivers.

Seems that the burner doesn’t like this media(type). Try with Verbaitm and TY media.

#5

Yep, hopefully that’ll work since MCC004 (Verb 16x +R) can burn OK at 4x

#6

Thanks for the replies. I am only using this version of Nero because I heard it was more stable than the newer ones. I am gonna try and burn at 2.4x and see if it will work. If not, I will try new media. I think it may be the media because I had not had any problems in the past.

#7

Well, that didnt work. Can anyone recommend a good burner? Although I plan on trying different media, I am still gonna purchase a new burner for my other PC.
