Really couldn't decide where to post this question so eventually decide to come here.
RedTen is offering 8mb unlimited for £19.99 pm , plus a free PC setup worth £500.
Does anyone here use this ISP as it's a reasonable cost for 8mb unlimited?
Some reasonably positive user experiences and speed discussions here, TimC:
Note the free PC appears to only have one motherboard PATA connector, and the service support appears to be from the Indian subcontinent.
I've seen this type of thing before. The PC is free but is infested with adware which you must agree not to remove for a certain period. To use the connection you must of course connect to the ISP. You'll then spend most of your time clicking on ad's.
Beware, if it sounds to good to be true. etc etc etc.
Never heard of them til Tim mentioned it. The thread imkidd linked to above makes good reading too.
I remember that offer with free PC awhile back where they couldn't fulfil all the orders, and the offer went belly up. That alone would make me wary of an offer like this.
Well if you have sky you can get broadband up to 16mb for £10 a month
i've seen an offer like this before and the catch was a 3 or 5 year contract, so i'd read the small print first
Thanks for the replies guys.
Interesting thread on WebUser, so definitely not an offer to taken without some careful consideration.
I'll now go off & read all the small print very carefully and read that thread more thoroughly.
