HD-DVD is 2.5, is it not? At least, 2.5 does play in my A3.

Actually, both Blu-ray and HD DVD can be UDF 2.50 and UDF 2.60.
But for safety, just use the standard UDF 2.50.

The Blu-ray Disc format has selected UDF 2.5 as the primary file system standard for burning data or videos onto discs, while the HD DVD format has chosen the comparable UDF 2.6 format.

I only gave the primary choice and did not get into the specifics of what each will support.

Funny, because the UDF version I got for my 360 add-on was V2.5.
