It's the power supply to the LCD panel. If it is under warranty send it to get fixed. If not throw it away, not worth the expense. Not seeing any fried components means nothing as it could be a 1 ohm resistor that acts as a fuse and it would not appear fried. You have to measure the voltages and to do that you have to know what they should be and at where on the board, which is beyond the scope of most people. If, you happen to be one of those people you will find getting any parts that are not standard fuses or resistors or capacitors extremely difficult, if not impossible.
