Hi!
I’ve got a problem. My chief has upgraded firmware of this drive to other firmware, and now windows cannot recognize it. But in MS-DOS drive works fine, read DVD and CD.
I tried to flash old firmware, but noone flasher can do it. I used sfdndos, sfdwin, mtkflash…
How can i restore old firmware?

Thanks, and sorry for bad english

Hi and Welcome!

you got a TS-L802A? This one here: http://www.tsstorage.com/info_e/ts-l802ae.html

For Notebook drives, there are normally two different kinds of firmware (Master/Slave or Cable Select high/low), depending on how the manufacturer of the computer thought about that.

If you have the correct firmware, you may try getting an adapter to connect the drive to a desktop computer and install the correct firmware there.

The other option is to have the computer serviced and your “chief” pay for that.
