New guy here, so scuse me if I seem dumb, cause I really am about these things. I have the above cd rom drive and I used it to load the software for my wireless router. It worked fine until I tried to load the software for my webcam. When I inserted the cd in to the drive, nothing happened. I went to device manager, right clicked on the cdrom drive clicked autoplay and got the following message. WARNING RECOVERY PARTITION! THIS AREA OF YOUR HARD DRIVE CONTAINS FILES USED FOR YOUR SYSTEM RECOVERY. DO NOT DELETE OR ALTER THESE FILES. ANY CHANGE TO THESE FILES COULD PREVENT ANY RECOVERY LATER.
I then clicked on properties, hardware and got the message that Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. The solution wizard ran a test and said it couldn't find anything wrong and to check the connections, which I did, and they are all connected. Hoping that someone can offer an explanation. Thank you very much.
