Hi all. Looking for a little help.
I have an HP Pavilion DV6710EA laptop with it's original TSST Corp TS-L632N CD/DVD Writer.
My problem is that it won't finish burning an audio CD. When it gets to the end (usually Closing Session or something similar depending on program) it just continually spins up and down and up and down. I've left it for up to an hour before and it was still just spinning up and down. I also can't eject the disc without restarting the computer to release the drive. Strange thing is 9 times out of 10 the audio CD will play just fine on a CD player. It's just a pain having to restart every time.
It happens in all burning programs I've used so far (Cheetah Burner, Cyberlink Power2Go and with iTunes too).
It happened before, when I was on Vista Home Premium and it still happens now I've clean installed (inc. formatting) Windows 7 Ultimate. This leads me to believe it may be a hardware problem? Any help appreciated before I go and buy a replacement drive on eBay!!
