TSST Corp TS-L632B Write Protected Error Burning DL Disc

I am trying to burn a XBox 360 ISO. I am using Verbatim DL discs, using a Toshiba Laptop TSST TS-L632 DVD Burner.

I keep getting a write protected error. I’ve tried flashing the firmware on my burner; I’ve tried burning a different back up ISO. I’ve searched through countless forums.

All anyone can suggest is to use a better media. Well I am using the best, Verbatim, and buying an external burner is out of my budget right now.

So I need to know how to configure/fix my current drive to burn DL.

I have seen this question in multiple forums, but no one can figure out an answer.

Thanks in advance.

oops sorry

After I updated the firmware, I actually blew up my drive and had the upper lower filter problem.

If you don’t know what that means, then you probably won’t know the answer to my questions.

Just to get that out of the way so I don’t get idiotic answers.
