I suggest you get DVDFab to backup the movie, since RipIt4Me was shut down years ago and is not effective against the protections added to movies since that time.
You can find DVDFab here: www.dvdfab.com
The download will be a free trial for 30 days, but there is a free section within DVDFab called DVDFab HD Decrypter. The free section will continue to function as a decryption/ripping program for you even after the trial ends. The only caveat is that it will lag behind the commercial version on updates by 6 to 8 weeks.
DVDFab can also compress the movie (while the trial lasts). If you need to compress to fit a single layer dvd after the trial has expired, I suggest ripping with DVDFab HD Decrypter, then using DVDShrink to compress the ripped movie on the hard drive. DVDShrink is no longer effective against modern protections, but is still a good transcoder for compressing dvds. You can find it here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Shrink
