Trying to accomplish something

Hi Folks-

Need a Freak Mind Meld here. I’m trying to give a gift to my bro of putting my CDs into a form that can be put into his Ipod. He has no time/know how to do this himself. Is there a way I can convert my CDs to mp3s and burn them on a disk. Would that allow him an easier time to download directly to his Ipod?

Thanks!

Spode

You realize that waht you are suggesting is:
A) a Violation of even the fairly liberal copyright laws of the USA.
B) a violation of posted forum policy.

That being said I’m sure a moderator is about to ride up on his white horse and tell you exactly the same thing.

Ahhh. I understand the criticism. But I mis-spoke. These are not actually commercial CDs but CDRs of unreleased private material. Jam sessions and what not. Not Copywrited material.

You could use EAC with Lame encoder…

Or Cdex, foobar2000…

well, you need to include the “disclaimer” with your post next time.

EAC would be the best way to get them off of CD and into .wav files
which could them be converted to mp3.

the specific software you use is variable depending on your
computer OS, etc…

Perhaps it would be better not to jump to conclusions and assume that everyone seeking advice is a criminal?
