I installed it on my PC with a Spybot scan before installing and again after running the software and confirm that nothing suspicious was found  Search results was a bit disappointing for me despite it connecting to the three networks (Gnutella 1 & 2 and Kazaa). I searched for ‘Strawbs’, a fairly rare artist I test P2P networks with to see how they perform. TrustyFiles returned 7 results after a few minutes. Limeware standard edition returned 54 results within a minute (excluding the fake top two wmv & jpg results that any search returns) I can confirm that the software does display pop-up ads while the application is running, much like FlashGet. But then again, at least it does not plant anything nasty on the PC.

Mldonkey has had multi-p2p abilities for a while. It supports (at least partially) eDonkey, Overnet, Bittorrent, Gnutella, Gnutella2, Soulseek, Direct-Connect and Opennap MLDonkey has binaries available for all major, and some minor OS’s. Find out more at http://mldonkey.berlios.de/

All about Piolet. It’s fast, you don’t have to install the spyware and there is a growing user base in place. I found it good for RnB/Hip Hop and Ragga. Not sure about other flavours of music. It only does MP3 and OGG files but if your looking for other stuff your always better off using Bit Torrent.
