Trouble With Burning cue/bin-files And Then Reading The CD's

vbimport

#1

I tried with cdrwin, alcohol and nero, with different speeds, I’ve tried mounting with deamon tools and then copying it with nero…nothing works…the burning looks to be fine, but when I try to run the cd’s afterwards, it just hangs until I eject it, and if I try to explore it I get the message “f:\ is not accessible. incorrect function”…I have a Samsung SW-252B 52/24/52 CD-RW…I’ve tried the images on a different computer and it worked…please help…thanks…

#2

the images I’ve tried is Half-life and GTA3…

You probably used the wrong bytes/sector policy.

Could you post the contents of a .cue file ?

#4

or the files are corrupted…

If they worked on a different computer, I presume you used a different writer to burn them.

Assuming that your bin/cue images of GTAIII are legitimate images of your own original cds, they are safedisc 2.51+ protected and your Samsung cdrw simply isn’t capable of making a good copy.

You could try enabling Bypass efm error when burning with alcohol which may work (but don’t hold your breath). You have no chance at all with cdrwin or nero.

#8

thanks, I’ll try that…I’ll let you know if it worked…

#9

I can’t find where to disable it, I’m using the latest version of alcohol 120%

#10

if the bypass efm error check box doesn’t appear does that mean my drive doesn’t support it ?

#11

I just did the 2 sheep burner test, and the same thing happened…does this mean I’m fucked for good ?

No it means that your language settings are set for US english and the option is disabled in the US and Japan for legal reasons.

Move to Canada if you want to try the option  (but understand that it probably won’t work with your particular writer anyway).

#13

is there any new and good writers who can burn safeprotected games ? can u reccomend one ?

#14

I can reccommend the Lite-On 52246S and from others results, the 52X Asus. Both quite good drives and as such, you could just get whichever is cheaper.

#15

thanks…

#16

how much will the fact that they both only have 2 mb buffer memory effect their performance ?

#17

Well, they both have BURN-Proof and that virtually guarantees no Buffer Underruns, and as such they dont need a large cache. Although they do have minimum requirements, I think a 300MHz CPU and 64MB RAM is reccommended.

#18

ok, thanks once again…

Your quite welcome
