I having much grief with Dave gilmour in Concert 2002 DVD. it has 2 audio stream, PCM 2 channel stereo (stream 1) and standard AC3 5.1 ( stream 2)
I want a single chapter with only stream 2, which I then plan to convert to dixv, but no matter what I try - main movie, customise, vob passthru I also gert an empty LCm audio stream, then with most playback software there is no sound until I manually select stream 2.
specifically if I play the vob as a vob file or renamed as an mpg file then: : Zoom player & PowerDvd both require manual selection of audio stream 2
VLC player is OK but it screws up the aspect ratio for some reason.
WMC stutters badly, as if it is trying to handle both streams at once.
I expected that not ticking an audio stream when setting up DVDfab rip would completely remove iall references to it from the output VOB but it seesms that is not the case.
The default PCM stream on this DVDis wierd which is why I want to remove it. it just hisses in DVDfab preview playback, and DIVX converter says it does not have a codec for it. A competitor ripper product is also baffled by this audio stream and produces avi rips with no sound except hisssing. Thus, lots of reasons for wanting to remove it!
so in Dvdfab, how do I completely remove audio stream 1, or somehow re-order the audio streams so that stream 2 becomes the default ?
PS I can make an XVID +MP3 file ok using DVDfab generic - that lets me select the audio stream that it will use in the conversion. What I can't do is create a VOB file which has only 1 audio stream
