No you don’t need such software as that to watch but you do need something like WinDVD or PowerDVD to watch dvd movies on your computer. Also how were your dvd recorded and did the original dvd work properly in standalone unit? Or if you want a free dvd player try VLC it’s free and fairly good dvd player by itself.

All the discs from DVD recorder have to be finalized before you can play the anywhere else.
You may be able to get files back, using IsoBuster or try to finalize them using the same recorder as yours.

I just noted that you posted the same question already. It would be a good idea to stay with the same post and expand a little on your problem, if you are not happy with the answer.

Please don’t repeat your question LeeSpencer. It is against the rules of the forum.

I’ve merged your two threads together here.
