Using ambient lighting for an LCD monitor … Samsung is absolutely visionary
I suspected that hell would freeze over before any company would consider using ambient lighting as the backlight for a LCD monitor.
90% power reduction is unbelievable :iagree:

If this truly can cut power consumption by 90%, and the additional cost is mall, it would seem to be a no-brainer for anyone who is purchasing a new monitor. As far as the cat, let him/her go where he/she wants - they always do anyway.

Looking forward to seeing an in-person demo of these new LCD’s! It “sounds cool” but will your eyes appreciate it for long term use?

If someone wants to impress me with a new tech monitor, make one dust resistant.

Of course … everyone understands this is the april fools article, right?
