OK say I've got a movie in SVCD that is in 50 RAR splits. I combine them and its comes out as BIN/CUE. I want to transcode the SVCD back to DVD(I'll also be doing this to xVid/DivX also w/o the BIN/CUE issue). I have 2 questions at this point,
1: How much quality loss am I going to get from a DVD-RIP that has been converted to SVCD when I convert it back to MPEG std on DVD? How about from an Xvid/Divx to DVD-R transcode?
2: Is there any way to extract the A/V streams from the BIN/CUE so I don't have to burn the SVCD's first and then read from the disks?
Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way altogether? I know why people convert them down to compressed formats, but my Panasonic SA-HT75 is super picky about playing SVCD/VCD's and I don't mind spending the time to convert them back to DVD-R on my NEC ND-2500A. Any help that could be offered would be greatluy appreciated as I'm a nOOb to some of the concepts.
