I'm using a benq 1620 with the new speed patch and clonedvd doesn't seem to recognize the full rip speed of the drive now unless I manually switch it to the fast mode in nero drivespeed. There's also times in the transcoding process where it seems that the drive is slowing down to about 4x speeds. I was just wondering if this normal or maybe something that would be supported later on in a newer version where it can rip at top speeds? Other than that, the program is great and I seem to get the best quality results from it. I'm just a little curious if anyone knows anything about this certain situation?
i appled the speed patch to my BenQ 1620 but I have found it is quite tempermental and will not rip at full speed some of the newer movies. which is OK since I dont really plan on using the benQ as a ripper anyway I use the AOpen 1648\AAP it will rip everything I have thrown at it in an AVG time of about 7 min. for the Non Pro and about 9-10 min for the Pro model.
I'm am not sure if you are using AnyDVD? If you are using that program then click on the "Drive" tab and check to see what the "Speed Control" is set @.....
You can set it to "Fast & Noisy", yours could be set to "Slow & Quiet".
I have that setting on and it doesn't make any difference.
have you tried to just drag and drop the movie into explore? How long does that take?
