Track source computer from 'burned' cd

Hi

I’m curious to know if it is possible to trace the source computer from a burned cd … with word and jpeg files.

Would the ip address be embedded in the files?

Cheers!

Actually…

MS Word stores the MAC address!
Jpeg files store EXIF information!

In theory it’d be possible to trace ya.

Word also contains an ‘authored by’ field.

The lesson in this is to always burn cd’s under a pen name while spoofing the MAC address of your neighbor’s wireless access point.

Don’t use your neighbours wifi… too close. Use the white house’s or some free wifi at your local mcdonalds.

You could use Notepad instead of word! (Bonus: 700% performance improvement!!)
And kill all Exif metadata.
