I clean installed Vista Ultimate on a box that was previously running Windows XP Media Center and eveything is happy except the DVD drive. If I put a CD in the drive I can browse the files with a DVD in the drive I can neither watch the movie or browse a disc. I receive an error about the disk possibly being corrupted. These same discs work fine in my XP Sp2 laptop.
The drive is a Toshiba SD-M1712 firmware 1004 (which is stock to my knowledge), video card is a Radeon X1300 Series, I’m connected to an 720p LCD TV with a DVI to DMI cable.
Has anyone seen this problem and found a solution, I've been searching support.MS.com and Google for a frew hours and haven't found anything applicable.
