I would if possible would like info on an alturnitive dvd drive for my laptop. What i;m interested in is one that will do lightscribe as oppossed to the lableflash. due to the lack of available disks for the lable flash drive. the computer I have is a toshiba Qosmio X305Q701 model.

I typically suggest contacting the manufacturer to get a supported drive list.

I have from several different angles! Toshiba is very tight with any info what so ever.

you are right about google I have spent many hours on this there

Without knowing which drives actually work in that model, it would be a matter of trial and error. While all slim-line drives should work, it has been proven time and again, that isn’t the case.

On a side note, I wouldn’t recommend lightscribe anyway.
