Torrents hanging at 0% - please help! :'(

Right, whether in open torrents with Bit Torrent or Frostwire, they just hang at 0% and don’t move, even if it says I’m connected to peers. Frostwire file sharing DOES work though - it’s just torrents that don’t.

I can’t upload torrent either. A while back I changed ports on everything whilst following a ‘how to’ guide to get better speeds but it worked great after that and I’m guessing that if that adversely affected thing then Frostwire wouldn’t work at all either - it’s just the torrents that don’t work. And they do connect to peers, they just don’t download at all.

Please help!

Delete then reinstall see if things improve.

Doesn’t work even with legal torrents?
Perhaps your ISP capped you.

try changing ports to some random # between like 10k and 40k and make sure your firewall isn’t blocking that port and port forwarding is set up correctly on your router (if you have one). you can also try forcing encryption in your BT client which will help foil your isp from capping you :wink:
