To Download drivers

Hello,
I bought my pc few years back. At that time i didnt knew that drivers and all are required for pc so i didnt ask for drivers cd then. But now i require drivers as i hav formatted my pc but cannot find drivers.
Please suggest me some way to download all required drivers(like any site).
I dont know what all drivers are required so couldnt search it…

Google is good for finding drivers, if you know what PC you’re looking for drivers for. There are perhaps millions of drivers, so you do need to know a bit more than ‘drivers’ for ‘my pc’.

That as well as knowing what make and model your computer is then going to manufacture site and they should have all the needed drivers and software for your computer. A little homework helps in the long run you know???

First thing: stay clear from those “I can find the drivers for your hardware” websites and softwares. Most of them are simply scam.

I dont know what all drivers are required so couldnt search it…
If your computer is a brand name computer (Dell, HP etc.) there are good chances to get all drivers from their support web sites.

If this is a system built of individual components:
Start with the motherboard. See if you can find the manual for it since this normally lists the essential components that are onboard (including LAN, audio and others). If you don’t have a manual, you need to open the case and look onto the motherboard in order to find its exact name and model - it’s normally printed somewhere onto the PCB.
Next would be add-on cards like VGA, Modem, other cards.

Also, Windows Device Manager is extremely useful. Check the items which are marked with a warning or error sign. Then let it search for updates using Windows Update. I am assuming that the network adapter is working, which is often true for older hardware and a Windows version with recent service pack. If you haven’t already, then install SP3 (in case you have Windows XP) as soon as possible. It might have some newer drivers also.

Since the Sata controllers are also part of the Hyperion Pro (Chipset) drivers, there is no need to download them separately. This separate download is useful for owners of Via based Sata controller cards.

Wait!

perhaps you need also drivers for your network adapter. Since your report does not mention this, you may please have a look into Device Manager to find out what you have.

@ mciahel : Thanx for your suggestion, but I use mtnl network which provide their driver cd seperately,so i guess i wont need them.

But still i may like to provide details:

My device manager shows two network adapters-
