To CloneCD Author

Is there going to be implemented any multi-burner feature on cloneCD?
Its really sad CloneCD doesnt have implemented such feature, most cloning programs already implemented that ( alcohol, CDMate ).

Im a registered user and really love your work on clonecd and hope this feature could be implemented in near future.

I think you just have to start another session …

Thats right you just open CCD however many times you want to,
This way has it pro’s and con’s on the plus side you can write different images at the same time, it does not matter about writer model and firmware rev, the only real minus I’ve come across is you need a reasonably fast machine, not so much CPU power but HDD speed is really important if you want to avoid buffer underrun.
The one thing I would like implemented into clone would be a setting to specify how many copies of the same image you want without clicking through all the screens each time.

@ pilmo,

you are allowed to make ONE saftybackup of a game you have purchased! :cop:

true true true Sven , but … what if it’s not a game he’s copying , but a school project and wants to share it with 700 people ?

But let’s not kid each other… if CloneCD had the possibility of making multiple copies it would be used to make multiple copies of games. So don’t built in this feature please.

yes if the multiple feature was built in some people would undoubtabley use it to make illegal copies, however I’m sure those same people already do it simply by writing one image at a time. I often use CCD to make copies of non protected discs such as home movies I have put onto SVCD and want to make half a dozen copies to send to my family.
I use CCD whenever possible as it is the easiest to use and most stable of all the back-up software out there, so to presume that people only use it to back-up games is wrong, CCD has moved on a long way in a short time and long may the progress continue…

@ Mr. Belvedere
A school project, although I dont regard myself as old my first PC was an Atari 400 with the touch type keyboard, so school projects finished a long time ago for me;)

Sheepfriend is a good friend of the CloneCD author, so you can consider what he says about the same. Have you read the link I posted ? It’s not totally automatic, but you can use multiple burners at the same time with CloneCD without any problems.

Domin8tor, thanks dude, but as you must know, performance is lost with that multiple clonecd session method.

Anyways I feel its a shame that someone part of CloneCD dev team takes time to say something so USELESS to a REGISTERED CLONECD USER that want to know something a lot clonecd users want to know too.

Dont you see how many views have this topic???

Please take a minute to elaborate a more decent reply.

Dont make us think there isnt diference between being a registered user and a user with keygen key.

I don’t regard the answer that sheepfriend gave you is useless. Simply put, the answer to your original question is: NO.

Sorry, no offense but you arent qualified to answer that, Im asking a simple question to clonecd author that seems to visit this forum. I tried usual ways (web mail form ) and got tired waiting. Sorry to sound rude but you being rude with me first.

C´mon dont make this that difficult.

Perhaps domi didn’t make it clear enough to you.

Any answer you get from sheepfriend (sven) is the same as getting an answer from olli and if you look at his first post the answer is: NO.

He didnt said NO , man, its all going insane, its that difficult to say things loud and clear? He did said Clone CD author is busy, yeah, sure hes busy, hes doing a great job on its program and he deserve a lot respect but its customers too. Its not that cool from him not saying something like yes, its on our todo list, or nope we will never implement that…

Mad the answer is still NO, stop posting plz

Sorry for late reply…

Multi burning is a nice feature, yes. But it is not high priority, to be honest, it is not even on the “to-do” list. There are other, much more important things to address, which are more important for much more people (like SuperSecu, ProtectCD, StarForce, etc…)

So, the answer is: Maybe, but not anytime soon.
