TMPGEnc. Re-Encord dvd9 to fit dvd5

I want to:

  1. Remove all extra material on my DVD9
  2. Remove all sounds I dont wish to have
  3. Keep English and Swedish Subs.
    4.Record in top quility with the tool I have heard been the best tool: TMPGEnc. But that program can only open mpeg, avi files and such. I want to re-encord my DVD. What should I do? I dont want to use dvd-shrink because the poor quality of the picture. I rather spend some time with my computer to get great quality of the picture…

I cant figure it out how I should do.

this guide or this guide should cover what you need to do if you have the required software. both of them use CCE as the encoder (which has better quality and speed than TMPGEnc), but you’ll simply need to change the encoder to TMPGEnc in the DVD2SVCD options.

by the way, the word is “re-encode”, not “re-encord”.

How long time do it take to backup a movie with tools above?
I have a 2200+ 512 mb ram etc. Aprox.
