I'm having problems with TMPGEnc, v3: I'm loading an avi file in, and going to the edit mode with the intention of dropping in the chapter marks. However, the audio is out of sync with the video, and is playing at like half the speed of the video. If I look at the "track properties", it says the audio is 32khz. The audio on the avi file is 48khz (this has been confirmed with virtualdub), and under options > preferences > video settings, the audio is set to 48khz PCM. It seems that TMPGEnc is thinking that the audio on the track is 32khz, and is treating it as such. There appears to be no way to change the audio settings from 32khz in "track properties", or anywhere else, to make the program properly recognize the 48khz audio on the avi capture. I get the same result using a different avi file. I've spent a lot of time searching around online for a solution to this problem, and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. Most suggested solutions to audio problems with this program seem to involve converting the audio to AC3, which I do not want to do (I want the audio to remain in full-quality 48khz PCM....anything else is unacceptable), or demuxing, which shouldn't need to be done at all (this is usually mentioned with regards to using the dvix format, which is not used here - again, I do not want to do anything that degrades quality). Can anyone help with this?
