This error using Shrink 3.2 & 1620

Whenever I try to burn any plus media at Top speed (TY02 @ 16), I get this message. Is it the drive or something that I’m doing.

You are burning with Nero, not Shrink. However, that being said, I personally find I get much better burns on TY02 at 8x. Do you get this error at speeds lower than max?

says medium error…

Yes I’ve burned them at 8X, but get better quality at higher speeds. It’s given me same same type of error using ProdiscR03 @ 12. Sometimes it burns, but more than often I get that message.

Have you considered trying DVDDecrypter at http://www.dvddecrypter.com/

You can link to it directly from DVDshrink and it also allows using 5 other I/O interfaces besides WNaspi.

Some people have had better luck with it than Nero.

Scotty

Thanks, I’ll try that.

I just ran QScan on all of the media that I’m using, the Fuji Ty’s( only good at 8X), TDK Ty’s ( only good at 4X) & Sony 08D1 (only good at 4X). The Prodisc R03, Ricohjpn01, MCC (+/-) & Ritek G05 are all supported at the overburned speeds.
Thanks for your help, I now know it’s just a burner/media issue.
