Heads up to anyone else that might be in the same boat as I was (looking for T-Y CDRs at decent prices).
I had been looking for a long time trying to find more T-Y CDRs at a price close to what I was used to paying (about 20 cents per disc for the FUJIFILM sales in local drugstores/kmarts/that haven't happened in like 2 years) and stumbled onto these:
White inkjet printable tops, 52X T-Y's, sold as "Microboards Technology" in 25 pack boxes that are pretty handy and easily stackable. The boxes are resealable and have a center spindle for the discs inside so they are like kind of like "square mini-cakeboxes".
Confusingly if you only buy as 25 pack units they are $6.45 per 25 (about 26 cents each) but they tack on shipping charges. However if you buy as 200 pack units (8 of the 25ers) they raise the disc price to about 29cents each, BUT give you free shipping.
I could've bought the shiny silver tops for about the same price locally (+tax) as same microboards 25 pack boxes at Guitar Center but I hate the shiny toppers.
I received them pretty quickly (via fedex) & have no complaints except that originally I received no email confirmation about my order which seemed strange. I contacted them via email (there is no way that I could figure out how to call them despite their website advertising how great their customer service is) & they confirmed things were AOK & then sent me out confirmations with shipping tracking info etc.
After I ordered I saw that this company is actually "Meritline" which I know does not get good reviews up here. So be warned about that if you had problems with them. Again, I have no complaints and am happy, but YMMV.
Just testing some now and getting great quality scores when burned at 40x in my Pioneer DVR-115D and LiteOn DH20A4h. Haven't tested other speeds yet.
I have no idea if these are "valueline" T-Ys or "premium" T-Ys (is there any way to find that out?) though. Regardless I am happy.
Hope this info helps any other T-Y shoppers.
