Think I bricked my drive (Lite-On SHW-160P6S)

[qanda]This thread is about the Lite-On SHW-160P6S. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Well, somehow my powercord got pulled out while I was flashing firmware, and I have tried everything in the threads to recover it, but all I get is a flashing green light!
Drive is a Lite-On SHW-160P6S Help me please!

Try FlashFix from http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/comprehensive-liteon-tools-collection-v5-0-7-revised-8-january-2007-a-83441/. Note FlashFix doesn’t work with newer firmwares, and you’ll need to run it on older firmware. If FlashFix is successful, you may then flash to desired firmware.

Tried, with no luck, the only thing it did was make the light blink faster! anything else I can try?

1/ Is the drive seen in Windows?
2/ If yes what ID does it report.
3/ Try a checksum repair with the EEPROM Utility and report the result.

Drive IS seen in windows
Not sure if this is the ID or not, but it shows the drive normally as what it is,
Drive shows this information in discinfo
A checksum repair reports there is nothing wrong with the drives checksum.

I’m really hoping this can be fixed!

Nevermind about the above! I went into DOS with NTFS4DOS and re flashed the firmware and it’s working again!

Glad to hear you got it going again.
