Then, should i buy a PX-708A?

The title explains it all… i own a PX48/24/48A and im very happy with it, but i have been reading for some time the post on this forum and im wondering if worths buying the drive. As far as i know, the first ones were damaged and should be replaced, but the current drives are ok?

Thanks in advance

It’s a good drive, no doubt about that. The PX-712A is also a great drive but probably a bit more expesive than the PX-708A. The advantages of the PX-712A is its higher recording speeds, larger buffer and better write performance on low(er) quality media. If you can afford it I’d say go for the PX-712A drive.
