getting error when attempting to backup smurfs(regular dvd)tried disabling pathplayer still no luck.using 8.1.3.6 dvdfab(paid edition)

Is anyone else having issues backing up this dvd? I am on the latest beta that was put out yesterday and have tried with pathplayer disabled and enabled, but get same isse.
i get popup window that says Reading/Writing Error Control and it gives 4 options - retry, abort, ignore, and ignore all. If I click on one it goes back to open dvd source and just runs and runs and runs…

The support for the smurfs will most likely be added in the next release.

When you backup smurfs dont disable pathplayer backup main move 1(1)using dvdfab8.1.3.6

I picked up a copy of The Smurfs today and could not rip the full disk no way no how with 8.1.3.6b, even tried Passkey 8.0.4.1 rip to hard drive and it wouldnâ€™t do it. Main movie worked after an error analyzing, clicked [U]abort[/U] and selected 1(1) and all is well. Brand X on the fly decrypter ripped it full disk to the HDD just fine. I guess Sony has thrown Fab a curve on this one.

Good job you helped me get this one 9.Cant keep a good man down.I guess Fab will find a solution by tuesday.but at least we got the movie.

Happy to hear you was able to get your backup created, I to have other programs for my backup needs course my toolbox does not contain “Brand X” but does contain one that can do smurfs with no problem.

DVDFab will reportedly do ‘The Smurfs’ if you keep selecting ‘Ignore all’ when prompted but it takes a long time to complete.

Another update is required to properly tackle this particular DVD though.

Sorry I started it Fab will do the main movie now and there is nothing of intrest on the rest of the DVD anyway, at least on my copy.

It’s not a problem but thanks for that.

Judging by updates to other programs there are at least seven different editions of this movie and I know there are differences in the protections on some of these, so that’s probably not helping things at the moment.

There should be another DVDFab update out soon though and then we can see if they’ve got them all or whether other versions require additional fixes.

Since the OP has created the smurfs backup there is no reason to keep this thread open, if anyone else has a problem with this title you can try another program or wait for the next update.
