The Queen of England has arrived in Oz
Given that several of the last few elections have been about Australia becoming a Republic versus remaining part of the monarchy (yes pollies are that pathetic here), I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks.
Being part of the Monarchy has it's benefits ... like the commonwealth games & the Queen doesn't do much regardless in terms of ruling with an iron fist / sending convicts to work their crimes off in the middle of the desert / etc.
On the other hand, republicans seem to think that becoming a republic will fix every problem in Australia & a president will be able to cure aids, cancer & bring people back to life, rather than currently which is bore people to death & make people so angry that they have heart attacks.
So ... should Oz welcome her with arms wide, or should we reject her visa & send her packing?
