The fastest and most powerful Police car EVER! Lamborghini Gallardo

Famous quote (2004):

Head of Italian State Police: "Well, it’s time to deploy our fastest and more powerful vehicle ever: the Lamborghini Gallardo. Thanks to all St. Agata Bolognese staff and especially to the President of Lamborghini SpA for this great donation.

Our objective is to assign the vehicle to the traffic police, in order to prevent crimes, abuses, accidents and excessive-speed-behaviors in the highways, and to transport organs for transplant when other methods (such as helicopters) are not available."

Soon later, an independent organization donated another Gallardo to the ISP.

The first Gallardo, plated E8300, was assigned to the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway (the one that achieves the record of most accidents and excessive-speed-behaviors among all others) and is still in service there.

The second, assigned to the A14 (Bologna-Taranto) highway, is still in service there too.

Some specifics:

Engine: 5.0L V10
Output power: 367 kilowatts (520 PS)
Torque: 510 Nm
Max speed: ~ 310 km/h

Does a law enforcement authority in your country have such a car ???

TYREK
To help them out. Also since the AMERICAN economy
is going down right now. A rich AMERICAN family
decided to show them a real AMERICAN roadster.
They also sent a driver.

Germany has a long tradition with Porsche in (Highway) Police service, but they can’t beat that Gallardo.

In active service (not sure if still in operation, but why not, it’s a Porsche):

Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé, 1996
Autobahnpolizei Baden-Württemberg;
3600 cm3,
210 kW/285 PS,
275 km/h,
0-100 km/h: 5,4s,

There is a newer model (2005, 3.824 ccm; 272 kW (370 PS); 297 km/h; 0 - 100 km/h: 4,6 s), but this is only for promotional purpose.

I LUV Crown Victorias.

If I had the money I’d import one to Italy, but displacement and fuel economy are respectively too high and too low

Here in my district (FC) I have seen 3 Ford Mustangs, all white. If I’m not wrong 2 are Coupe and 1 is GT.

Great car anyway
