iHDS is a DVD-ROM drive, not a burner, correct?
iHASx22 models are either very old (6 hardware revisions ago) or are detuned versions of later hardware revisions, so no reason to go with them specifically.
124 versus 324 only indicates features (I can’t recall what 324 adds to the base 124), but adds nothing in terms of quality.
And overall, I’ve not seen anything that indicates a real quality difference between recent hardware revisions; it all seems like cost reduction.
As far as BurnerMax, I am under the impression that any MediaTek-based iHASx24 model works one way or another. By this point, it’s unlikely that you’ll get an version that’s a rebadge of Optiarc’s leftovers (which would mean it was based on NEC/Renesas technology), so that’s not a concern.
That should help you decide.
