thanks for clarifying - however, I'd have to try it ...I can imagine it being both a resource hog (perhaps not) - but even more-so, a PITA, like a software firewall, constantly annoying me unless I can tell it to ignore certain specific apps/dlls. Win Reg changes occur often, especially when considering/involving ACPI and Power Mgmt settings and changes, due to standby/hibernation mode, etc.
I see it being a very useful tool - if those 2 major possible issues I may have, are not a reality.
Regshot however enables you to see EXACTLY what was changed during the Reboot phase of a typical software Install - this way, not only do you see what was changed/overwritten by that App - but also when an uninstall doesn't go correctly, you have a record of all the changes.
I'd hate to have to keep answering Yes or No during the Reboot phase
