[QUOTE=Mastus;2618318]There is quite a lot of things in TV what is worth recording IMHO.
Movies (TV-movies and such that aren’t available or not easily available on DVD), documentaries (some which are impossible to found anywhere else), of course music concerts and festival coverage.
During the 5+ years of sporadic recordings on DVD, I’ve also accumulated few series that won’t be reaired for different reasons.
Of course the TV stations do have their vast collections of better quality material, but to me they are next to useless - they are out of my reach, unless the TV station decides to reair them or release them on DVD. That is not the case in home recording - if you had the hindsight to record it, you can watch what you want when you want.
Certain news events, commercials, station ID:s and such may be interesting to watch years later…
As for the size of collection goes… Check out “videoholic” Ray Glasser from YouTube… Recording since July 1976

I absolutely agree with you there, you filled in the missing bits from my post That is exactly my point; I have many recordings that wont be reaired or released offically.
Usually an archive is crammed full of hours and tapes of footage, how many hours would a small tv network / independent company have?
