Team claims that the PD200 can achieve 250MB/s read and 120MB/s writes over USB 3.0. The 64GB model is a tad slower and has a maximum write speed of up to 100MB/s.
But 1.8-inch form factor external SSD is probably a better solution than 2.5-inch one. It'll be interesting how much capacity into 1.8-inch external casing can be achieved with V-NAND or better NAND chips.
Since 2.5-inch and 1.8-inch form factors are all about laptop computers, does it mean the internal drive of the external SSD can be extracted to fit in a laptop with 1.8-inch bay? Or, does the internal hardware have circut board exposed?
