TDK Speed-X Up to 48x - good quality?

Hi,

I have just ordered some 32x TDK at Recihelt, Germany (62 Eurocent each), but I got TDK Speed-X Up to 48x instead.

Before I decide if I should send them back, or keep them, I’d like to know if anybody has any experience with these CD-R media. I will post the ATIP-information below, my Liteon LTR-32125W@48125W suggests up to 48x speed.

Is the price okay for that quality?

ATIP: 97m 15s 05f
Disc Manufacturer: TDK Corp.
Assumed Dye type: Phthalocyanine (Type 5)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

Thanks in advance.

cu,

Jackie

Well, I have one of those staring at me at the moment. I’d really like to know it’s factory of origin. They sure do look nice. And for portuguese prices, you’re getting a good deal. This one i bought for 89 cents. (overpriced in Portugal… yet… frequent.)
Anyone out there who knows where these come from?

I’ve seen them for a retail price of €0.60 - 0.70/each
when buying a box with 10 CD-Rs in jewel cases.

Most likely these TDK 48x CD-Rs are made by TDK itself
at its production site in Bascharage (Luxembourg)

In my opinion the CD-Rs made by TDK are of good quality,
never had any pblems with TDK discs
