TDK Metallic 80

Hi All

Anybody have any views on these:-

TDK Metallic 80, cost more than TYs here in the UK, but they look and sound good in the adverts.

The TDK Metallic CD-Rs can be manufactured by Taiyo Yuden, Ritek or CMC.

So why not buy the “original” Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, especially when they are even cheaper.

I would, but I have started to have problems with TYs…

I am in the process of trying to find the next best thing.

Have you tried Fuji CD-Rs ?

As you live in Europe the jewel and slim cases should be made
by Fuji itself at its own production plant in Germany.

The spindles should be made by Primedisc/Ritek in Germany.
At the moment there are also some 100pcs Fuji spindles 48x speed
available with a “Made in Japan” (=Taiyo Yuden).

I’ve bought 2 spindles of these Fuji CD-Rs “Made in Japan” and
I’m using them at the moment with no problems so far

The Fuji CD-Rs sold in Germany and Europe are of decent quality.

Mitsui, Fuji, I would like to find them here in the UK, or does anybody know different?
