TDK 880N only writing at 16x CD-R

I bought the TDK 880N DVD+RW 8x. It says it can burn CD-R at 32x and I tried various programs but it only burns at 16x. Using Fuji-Film CD-R media. Tried different tests. There is no new firmware then what i came with.

Any suggestions?

Yes - try other media.

Not all media is supported at 32x speed.
