Does anyone know when Taiyo Yuden will release 16X DVD+R media?
I am sure its available. I will double check and let you know tommorrow.
There is no Taiyo Yuden 16x DVD+R available anywhere that I have heard of (yet).
eleewhm .Posted this quite a while ago the 7th scan down is YUDEN000 T03 and that is all I have ever seen about this MID. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=844668&postcount=2
Ahh he must have gotten some very early samples.
I haven’t seen any other sightings of these discs either.
I believe you are right about them having troubles or we would seen some scans by now as this forum is World Wide and I can wait a while for better quality.
There is another story .It’s something like trade theory .If an old product like YUDEN000 T02 still sells very well (and also burn well @16x) there is no reason release new product yet .Development of new product ,dosn’t mean that become in official release in all cases.
But… TYG02 sells and burn @16x very well and TY already released TYG03.
I think TYG02 is not a successful product (at least here in Europe) than YUDEN000 T02 (most under Fuji brand) -Generally in DVD-R Maxell MIJ media is the leader in quality than TY ,following by MCC 8x (DVD-R)
Yes, i can confirm. Also in Italy i NEVER saw unbranded TYG02 in the stores
According to TY Europe the release of TYG03 first is higher demand for DVD-R among comanies with professional usage.
And limited production capacity for 16x media, so would put out a lot of 16x -R on the market and then follow with 16x +R in June.
My impression is that TYG03 is less good than TYG02.
Really? with what drive?
Remember that TYG03 dislike to be written at 8x or lower speeds, it’s made for 16/12x speeds.
All of them - except the Vivastar (which I rarely use).
I test most of my media at various speeds (usually, 8x, 12x and 16x).
Any updates on the release of this media?
Last info comming TY germanny suggest autumn release for real volumes.
However I have noticed that some compannies allready fake this code so be very carefull at this moment if someone offers a large ammount of media with TY 16x DVD+R code.
@dakhaas. Thx for the info.
It looks like TY 16x DVD+R is available in Japan now under the That’s brand:
