Switching Monitors

Hello,

I have 2 computers right next to each other. I mainly only use one. I am interested in dual screening with my 2 screens. My graphic card supports it. The thing is I don’t want to deal with the hassle of plugging it in and taking it out in case i want to use it on the other computer.

Is their a way I can make a switch? Turn it one way and it works for my dual screen or turn it the other way and it works with the other computer?

If someone knows how to do this, please let me know. If their is a product i need to buy a link would be appreciated.

Thanks

You could use a simple KVM switch on one monitor.

I use something call Data Transfer Switch and can use my 20" monitor with my desktop or laptop; using it and my wireless keyboard and mouse my laptop acts like a desktop. Try CyberGuys. http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/SearchDetail.asp?productID=176

I looked at this one and it is a bit too big for my liking.

it is 6 x 4 x 2.5 inches; works well and the price is low.

I have a KVM switch I use for access to two computers. It works very well and I can switch between them by hitting the “Scroll Lock” key twice. As long as you don’t need to see both computers at the same time, a KVM switch should do exactly what you need. I use this one and have no complaints: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817107407 Plus, it looks like it is on sale with free shipping at the moment.
