Just a quick question. I picked up a Lenovo K450 at a market. it has a i5 Cpu, I also have another computer that needs work, that has an i7 CPU, can I swap the i7 with the i5?
As long as the CPUs share the same socket and the motherboard BIOS recognizes the CPU, the swap should be possible.
Which is to say, you need to figure out (by searching) the socket used in the K450, and which socket that i7 uses, if you don't want to test it out by trying to place the i7 in the system.
Thanks guy's great help , as usual
Just do a wikipedia check on the socket type and that will tell you what CPU it uses.
Cool, Thanks for the reply, how do you do a wikipedia check?
