If apple the company died today i think it would only benefit the world. I don’t think theres one place i can think of that would suffer from this other then apple fan boys.
Wow, I have to admit that your hatred for Apple almost rivals my own for Sony. That being said, I have to say you’re dead wrong. If Apple dies then so does the competition. Without competition, we’re screwed. When Intel was the only game in town we were geting burned with crazy CPU prices. When AMD was making crappy GPUs (3800 series), Nvidia was charging $600 for their video cards.
I am by no means an Apple fan but I can clearly see the iPad has ENORMOUS potential … They have only revolutionized the computing, mobile computing, consumer electroncs and music industries. Apple innovates and everyone else copies. And I’m not even an Apple fan…
Are you SURE you’re not an Apple fan? C’mon, ivid. We know you get Steve Jobs’ slippers and tuck him in at night. Okay, I must be doing too much video conversion lately. I keep seeing your name as “xvid”. LOL.
In all seriousness, I agree with you. I think this thing has huge potential. However, v2.0 of the iPad had better have better battery life and support Flash or it’s limiting itself. Maybe 1080p isn’t such a big deal to most. 720p looks good enough to me, but when your competitor’s product does 1080p and yours doesn’t, then you have a problem. Know what I mean, Verne?
