Most of you will probably know Godabuzz, it (was) a website that offered warez for download, uploaded on most free webspace accounts. At the moment the site redirects to a porn site, here's probably why:
Microsoft's anti piracy campaign has got off to a storming start as the company has filed a civil action against the renowned warez site Godabuzz. In the UK an action has begun against an as yet unnamed site hosted in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Both are accused of offering pirated Microsoft products for sale. Godabuzz, based in Big Spring, Texas, allegedly posted copies of Windows 2000 Professional Edition, Windows Millennium and other Microsoft software for illegal download. The UK site allegedly offered pirated software for sale including Office 2000, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. Microsoft says that test purchases of goods from the site indicate that the products are illegal copies burned onto gold CD-R's. The software giant has also reached an out of court settlement with student spammer known as "Matt the CD-R Guy." The settlement includes a prohibition on future sales of illegal software, a charitable donation and/or community service. ® |
